Account access & setup

Recover access after account deactivation

If your company dashboards were registered on an account that's now deactivated, here's what you need to know.

Your data isn't lost

SEO Gets doesn't store your Google Search Console or GA4 data by default—everything is pulled live from Google's API. This means your underlying data still exists in your Google accounts. The issue is access, not data loss.

What happened

When the account that connected your dashboards is deactivated or deleted, the connection to Google is severed. Dashboards don't automatically transfer to another account.

How to recover

The recovery path depends on your situation:

  1. Another team member still has access

If someone else on your team has admin access to your SEO Gets workspace, they can continue using the account. All dashboards and sites connected to that workspace remain accessible to team members. Ask that person to invite you back.

  2. No one has access to the workspace

If the deactivated account was the only owner of your SEO Gets workspace, contact support with the following:

    • The email address of the deactivated account

    • Your company name

    • The email addresses of the people who need access

Support can help restore workspace access or guide you through reconnecting your properties.

Reconnecting your properties

Once you regain access to SEO Gets, you'll need to reconnect your Google Search Console and GA4 properties. This is straightforward:

  1. Sign in to your recovered or new SEO Gets account

  2. Connect your Google account

  3. Select the properties you want to track

Your data will resume flowing from Google.

Prevent this in the future

To avoid losing access when team members leave:

  • Ensure at least two people have Admin access to your workspace

  • Before removing someone from your team, confirm they weren't the sole connector of any critical properties
