How AI credits are calculated
AI credit cost is based on usage β the more data you generate, the more credits you use. Running a small topic cluster costs fewer credits than generating a large one with 100+ keywords.
How the calculation works
When you use an AI-powered feature, SEO Gets calculates credit cost based on the scope of work being done. This means:
One-click topic clusters: A cluster with 10 keywords costs fewer credits than a cluster with 100 keywords
One-click content groups: Grouping a small section of your site costs less than grouping your entire site
One-click branded keywords: Identifying branded terms for one site costs less than doing it across multiple sites
In short: the larger the generation, the more AI processing required, and the more credits consumed. For most users, the 100 credits allotted each month are sufficient. For large sites or users managing a large number of sites, additional credits may be purchased.
Not sure how many credits you have? Check your balance in Billing & Invoices before running larger generations.
Credits are deducted at run time
When you confirm a one-click action, the estimated credits are deducted from your balance immediately. SEO Gets uses your subscription credits first, then any rolling credits you've purchased.
Managing credit usage
If you're working with a limited credit balance, you can:
Run smaller generations first to conserve credits
Focus on high-priority sites or sections
Break large generations into multiple smaller runs
