Yes. When you remove a Super Site, the slot becomes available for reassignment to any other property in your account.
Enable, reassign, and remove Super Sites
Super Sites are a per-site add-on that unlocks Index Reporting, content change tracking, extended storage, and higher data limits. You can enable them for any property in your account, move a slot to another property, or remove it when you no longer need it.
Each Super Site costs $10/month. If you need to additional Super SItes, see How to purchase Super Sites.
Quick decision guide: Downgrade, swap, or remove
When you open the Super Sites panel and click Downgrade Site, you’ll see two options. Use this guide to choose the right one.
If you want to… | Choose… | What happens to billing |
|---|---|---|
Move a Super Site to a different property | Replace the site with a different site | Your subscription stays the same ($10/month). The slot moves to the new property. |
Stop using a Super Site on a property and free the slot for later | Remove the Super Site | The slot becomes available for reassignment. You are not charged for unused slots, but you do not receive a credit for unused time. |
Any property in your account is eligible for a Super Site, including shared sites. If you don’t have an available slot, you’ll be prompted to purchase one before continuing.
Enable a Super Site
Enabling a Super Site turns on expanded features for a specific property—Index Reporting, extended data storage, faster performance, and higher row limits.
Click your avatar → Settings → Team → Super Sites.
Click + Upgrade Sites.
Select the site you want to upgrade from the dropdown.
If you have an available Super Site slot, the site will be upgraded immediately.
If you don’t have a slot available, you’ll be prompted to add one for $10/month before continuing.
Click Confirm.
After you enable a Super Site, Index Reporting becomes available for that property. To set it up, see Upgrade to Super Site.
Reassign a Super Site to another property (swap)
Reassigning moves a Super Site slot from one property to another. This is useful when a client churns or you want to redirect the add-on to a higher-priority site.
Go to Super Sites in your account settings.
Click Downgrade Site.
Select the Super Site you want to move.
Choose Replace the site with a different site.
Pick the new property from the dropdown.
Click Downgrade to confirm the swap.
Reassigning does not change your subscription. You are moving the existing $10/month slot from one property to another.
What happens after reassignment
The old site loses Super Site features immediately. Index Reporting and extended storage stop for that property.
The new site starts fresh. You’ll need to set up Index Reporting again for the new property. Extended storage activates the moment the site is upgraded.
Remove a Super Site
Removing a Super Site frees the slot for later use but ends extended features for that property.
Go to Super Sites in your account settings.
Click Downgrade Site.
Select the Super Site you want to remove.
Choose Remove the Super Site (it can be reassigned later).
Type the site name to confirm.
Click Downgrade.
What happens after removal
Extended storage data is deleted within 7 days. Standard Google Search Console data (16 months) remains accessible.
Index Reporting stops. You’ll lose access to Index Reporting for this site and no longer receive weekly indexing alerts.
The Super Site slot becomes available for reassignment. You can assign it to another site at any time.
Notifying clients about removal
If you manage Super Sites for clients, let them know when you remove a Super Site from their property. They’ll lose access to:
Weekly Indexing Report emails
Extended historical data beyond 16 months
Index Reporting dashboards in any shared client portals
We recommend notifying clients before removal so they can export any data they need.
