Why your Google Search Console data doesn't match SEO Gets

If your Google Search Console numbers look different in SEO Gets—or if older data seems to vanish—here's what's happening and how to fix it.

Older data disappeared after 16 months

Symptom: Historical data is missing and you can only see the last year or so

Google Search Console only keeps up to 16 months of data. Once older data rolls off, it's no longer available in GSC's interface or through the API. That means year-over-year comparisons and long-term trend analysis eventually disappear, even if you previously saw them.

Fix: If you need historical data beyond 16 months, enable a Super Site. Super Sites store up to 5 years of data so you can keep year-over-year comparisons and long-term trend analysis intact. For details on how Super Sites work, see What are Super Sites?. If you're ready to set one up, see How to purchase Super Sites.

Totals don't match for the same date range and filters

Symptom: Clicks or impressions in SEO Gets are higher than what you see in GSC

Google Search Console's interface limits views to 1,000 rows. SEO Gets pulls up to 50,000 rows per query through the API, so your dashboard can surface data that GSC truncates or hides behind pagination. When you compare the same date range and filters, the extra rows in SEO Gets can produce higher totals—especially for sites with many queries or pages.

Fix: This is expected behavior, not an error. To verify the comparison:

  • Confirm you're viewing the same Search Console property in both tools

  • Match the exact date range in both places

  • Apply the same filters (query, page, country, device) in both places

  • Remember that GSC's interface may cap or sample the view at 1,000 rows

If you need the full underlying dataset, use a CSV export from SEO Gets instead of comparing against the GSC screen. For export steps, see Export data as CSV.

Quick checklist

Before reaching out to support, run through these checks:

  1. Subscription active? Go to Billing & Invoices and confirm you have an active plan

  2. Same property? Make sure you're comparing the exact same Search Console property in both tools

  3. Same date range? Match the date picker exactly, including custom ranges

  4. Same filters? Apply identical filters for query, page, country, and device

  5. Old enough data? If you're looking for data older than 16 months, you'll need a Super Site

  6. Multiple accounts? Verify the correct Google account is connected in Settings → My Google Accounts

If you've checked everything and the numbers still don't make sense, reach out through the in-app chat with the exact date range, property name, and filters you're using.
