Does SEO Gets MCP support multiple search types?
No—SEO Gets MCP only supports web search results. It does not support Image, Discover, News, or Video search queries.
What MCP supports
The MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector gives Claude access to your Google Search Console web search data, including:
GSC performance data — clicks, impressions, CTR, and position for web search queries
Indexing status — which pages are indexed, which have issues
Site-level queries — top pages, striking distance keywords, content opportunities, and more
When you ask Claude questions through MCP, you're querying your web search performance data only.
What MCP doesn't support
MCP cannot retrieve data from other Google search surfaces:
Image Search — Performance data from Google Image search
Discover — Traffic from the Google Discover feed
News — Visibility in Google News results
Video — Performance in Google Video search
Where to find Image, Discover, News, and Video data
For those search types, use the search type filters in the SEO Gets dashboard directly:
Open the property you want to analyze
Click the date range dropdown at the top
Select the Search type you need (Discover, News, Image, or Video)
The dashboard will update to show data from that specific search type—something MCP can't do.
