Google Search Console Magic Share Links

Magic share links are a simple way to share your SEO Gets dashboards with clients or stakeholders without requiring them to create an account.

Today, I want to show you one of my favorite features that’s been a total game-changer for client communication: magic share links. If you’ve ever struggled with getting clients to actually look at their SEO performance data (and who hasn’t?), this one’s for you.

Magic share links are exactly what they sound like: a simple way to share your SEO Gets dashboards with clients or stakeholders without requiring them to create an account. This means no more “I couldn’t log in” excuses or “can you just send me a screenshot” requests.

Let me walk you through how to set this up in just a few simple steps.

The process is refreshingly straightforward:

  1. Jump into your site’s performance dashboard in SEO Gets.
  2. Go to the settings icon in the top corner.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom until you see “Shared Link”.
  4. Click “Generate Link”.
  5. Copy the generated URL and share it with your client.

That’s it! Your client now has access to a live, interactive dashboard without needing to create an account or remember yet another password.

What makes this feature truly valuable isn’t just the ease of setup—it’s the flexibility it offers. Your clients get access to:

  • All the same filtering capabilities you have.
  • Able to see all of your annotations on their performance graph.
  • Complete visibility into content groups.
  • Full access to topic clusters.
  • Real-time data updates.

This means they’re seeing exactly what you’re seeing, making your client discussions far more productive and aligned.

Making the Most of Shared Dashboards

Here’s where things get interesting. Once your clients have access to these dashboards, you can focus your conversations on strategy rather than just reporting numbers.

For example, when I share these dashboards with clients, I encourage them to:

  • Filter by content groups to see which sections of their site are performing best.
  • Track the impact of recent content updates in real-time.
  • Monitor branded vs. non-branded traffic patterns.

This level of transparency actually builds trust and helps clients understand the value you’re providing beyond just “we’re working on your SEO.”

It’s worth noting that this feature is included in the paid tier of SEO Gets. While we offer plenty of valuable features in our free version, magic share links are part of our premium offering because of the significant time and hassle they save our users.

Let’s face it - clients love having everything in one place. And as agencies, we’re juggling multiple platforms to deliver the best results. So why not bring your SEO Gets data directly into the platforms your clients already use?

Embedding in SPP.co

For those using SPP.co (formerly Service Provider Pro), here’s how to integrate your white-labeled dashboard:

  1. Log into your SPP.co account.
  2. Click “Add a sidebar link”.
  3. Paste your magic share link.
  4. Give it a name like “GSC Analytics” or “SEO Dashboard”.
  5. Hit “Add link”.

Now your clients will see a dedicated tab in their SPP.co portal that leads directly to your SEO Gets dashboard. They’ll have all the filtering capabilities, topic clusters, and content groups right at their fingertips - without ever leaving their client portal.

Embedding in Agency Analytics

If Agency Analytics is your platform of choice, the process is just as straightforward:

  1. Build a report for your client.
  2. Look for the “embed” option.
  3. Drag the embed widget into your report.
  4. Paste your magic share link.
  5. Adjust the size (I recommend making it full-screen vertically for the best experience).

The result is a seamless integration that looks like a native part of your Agency Analytics report. Clients can filter, explore, and analyze their SEO data right within the report they’re already familiar with.

What the Client Sees

From the client’s perspective, this is a game-changer. They simply log into their usual portal and see a professionally branded dashboard with all their SEO data. There’s no SEO Gets branding, no additional logins, and no confusion about where to find their information.

All the interactive features work exactly the same - they can filter by date ranges, explore content groups, and dive into topic clusters. It’s the full SEO Gets experience, just embedded within their familiar environment.

Coming Soon: Built-in Reporting

While we’re thrilled that so many of you are using these embedding options, I’m excited to share that we’re working on building our own internal reporting functionality for SEO Gets.

It won’t replace comprehensive tools like SP.co or Agency Analytics (which integrate multiple platforms beyond SEO), but if you’re looking for simple, streamlined SEO analytics reporting, this will be included in the paid tier soon.

Making the Most of Embedded Dashboards

Here’s why embedding these dashboards is so powerful for agencies:

  1. Increased perceived value: Your reporting looks more comprehensive and custom-built.
  2. Time savings: Set it up once, and it automatically updates with fresh data.
  3. Differentiation: Many agencies still send static screenshots or PDFs - interactive dashboards set you apart.
