Hey! If you didn’t know this already, alongside running a SaaS company, I’m also a small local SEO agency owner. We all know that our tools can really make a huge impact in driving results for our clients, so I wanted to share some of my favorite tools with you.
Some of the links below may contain affiliate links. I recommend these tools because I use them regularly, regardless of any affiliate program.
1. Keywords.com
Keywords.com helps businesses and marketers identify valuable keywords, analyze search trends, and optimize their online content to improve search engine rankings and drive more organic traffic to their websites.
Pricing
Plans range from $3+ per month but there is a free tier for individuals.
Key Features
- Track keywords at city or ZIP code level
- View historical ranking charts
- Identify cannibalization issues
- Free tool called Spyglass for simulating location-based search results
Why I like it
Keyword.com is one of the few KW trackers that allows me to toggle on and off if I want our GBP to be included. It also allows for super flexibility on geo-targeting when tracking the keyword.
On top of that, the historical data that you can pull up is fantastic.
They also just recently pushed a big update with some new features that I’ve been enjoying.
The best keyword tracker for local seo, in my humble but accurate opinion.
2. Local Falcon
Local Falcon helps users visualize and track their Google My Business listings’ performance across different geographic locations, enabling them to optimize their local search presence and compete more effectively in specific markets.
Pricing
Plans start at $24.99 per month.
Key Features
- Traditional map pack ranking tracking
- Trend reports to visualize keyword performance over time
- Helps identify algorithmic changes affecting local rankings
Why I like it
Local Falcon was the first heat map scanner that I used. I know there are a few others that do a solid job (local dominator, local viking, leadsnap, etc).
My favorite part is the trend report, which shows all of your scans in a graph over time.
3. SEO Gets
SEO Gets is an advanced analytics tool designed for SEO professionals and marketers to streamline and enhance their Google Search Console (GSC) data analysis. It offers a user-friendly interface that consolidates data from multiple GSC accounts, providing comprehensive insights without the limitations of the native GSC platform.
Pricing
Plans are billed either monthly for $29 or yearly for $259.
Key Features
- Master dashboard for managing multiple sites and users
- Content grouping and topic clustering
- Keyword cannibalization detection
- Striking Distance report
- Affordable pricing (less than $1/day)
Why I like it
Can I be unbiased for a second (I am a co-founder here)… I love this tool. I use it daily. It’s GSC on steroids, and has made our analytics so much more efficient.
If you haven’t tried it yet (or it’s been a while), try it out again. We are adding more powerful features to it on a monthly basis.
4. Majestic
Majestic provides comprehensive backlink data, link intelligence, and site explorer features to assist users in analyzing their own websites as well as those of competitors. Majestic’s vast link index allows users to track backlink acquisition, identify link-building opportunities, and assess the overall health of a site’s backlink profile to enhance search engine visibility and authority.
Pricing
Plans start at $49.99 per month.
Key Features
- Topical Trust Flow metric
- Comprehensive backlink research capabilities
Why I like it
I’m a believer in topical trust flow. I then improve that backlink research with traffic metrics on other apps (Semrush, Ahrefs, etc).
5. Content Sprout
Content Sprout is an AI-powered content creation platform that helps marketers, writers, and businesses generate high-quality, SEO-optimized content at scale. The tool uses advanced natural language processing to assist users in brainstorming ideas, creating outlines, and producing engaging articles, blog posts, and marketing copy.
Pricing
Plans start at $119 per month or users can choose to use their convenient pay as you go plan.
Key Features
- Groups content into intents and clusters
- Allows quick creation of topic mind maps
- Includes an effective AI writer
Why I like it
I’ve used Content Sprout a handful of times for both topic map creation and ai articles (which then get polished up by humans).
It’s been great for click and play, out of the box maps and articles.
I will caveat I haven’t tried Keyword Insights yet and will be doing that soon.
6. Colinkri
Colinkri is a collaborative platform that streamlines link building and outreach for digital PR and SEO professionals. It offers tools for discovering link opportunities, managing campaigns, and tracking success, helping users efficiently build high-quality backlinks to improve their website’s authority and search rankings.
Pricing
Plans start at $49 per month.
Key Features
- Alternative to force indexing
- Safer option for refreshing money sites
Why I like it
I know that Colinkri (which crawls, not indexes pages) is not doing the same thing as an indexer. However, I’ve come to an understanding that some indexers might be pointing spammy links to pages to get them indexed, and that’s not something I want to do with my money sites.
If I need money site pages indexed, use something like Tag Parrot or index in GSC. If you need pages you don’t have control over, I would use Indexmenow or sinbyte.com.
7. Neuron Writer
Neuron Writer is an advanced content optimization tool that helps content creators, marketers, and SEO professionals craft high-quality, search engine-friendly content. Using natural language processing (NLP) and AI, it analyzes top-ranking pages, suggests relevant topics and keywords, and provides recommendations to improve content structure and readability.
Pricing
Plans start at $23 per month. You can also save 40% by being billed yearly.

It’s comparable to surfer and other content optimization tools.

A single licence is $259 per year. Bulk pricing is offered along with a free version with a crawl limit.
Key Features
- Fast and efficient crawling

Why I like it
I love how easy and simple it is to find answers.
The “issues” tab gives us a list of things to fix in priority order, and this is my favorite tool for finding site architecture and internal links.
Sitebulb is a very comparable and solid tool to check out as well.
9. Semantic Links
Semantic Links is a white-label link building service specifically designed for local SEO agencies and consultants. The service focuses on creating high-quality, topically relevant backlinks that align with Google’s evolving Natural Language algorithms.

Why I like it
Bradley is one of the guys that got my into Topical Trust flow as a core metric for local link building.

I would specifically check him out for local, not so much anything else (he would say the same thing himself).

Key Features
- Includes Cloudflare Enterprise level in their plan
- Excellent support
- Ensures passing Web Core Vitals scores
Why I like it
I’ve tried so many hosting platforms it isn’t even funny.
I use to be a flywheel fan until they sold to WP Engine and customer support when down the drain.
Rocket includes cloudflare enterprise and has been a solid hosting platform for us. Passing core web vitals became a lot easier once we switched to them.
12. Loom
Loom is a video messaging and screen recording tool that allows users to quickly create, share, and collaborate through easy-to-use video content. Why I like it
Gusto is the best platform for paying subcontractors and running payroll.
I’m not the most organized guy, but they make it so simple for guys like me that want it taken care of, but don’t want to deal with the legal mumbo jumbo.
15. 1Password
1Password generates, stores, and organizes complex passwords, credit card details, and other confidential data across multiple devices and platforms.
